The technician studies price movements, trends and patterns to forecast the potential future path of price (see charts of interest for examples).

The number of securities being analyzed
The format of the analysis (written vs verbal)
Frequency of transmission
Common packages include weekly analysis of specific markets and securities determined by the client as well as weekly phone calls to discuss technical signals of interest.
